University of South Alabama Student Charged with Hindering Prosecution



A University of South Alabama student is accused of hiding a suspect involved in a dorm room robbery at the university, CBS 5 reports.

Sears and another unidentified suspect reportedly robbed a USA student of $1,000 and a cell phone in an apparent drug deal.

The second suspect ran off campus, while Sears hid in another dormitory. He has been charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree criminal trespassing, CBS 5 reports.

Sears is reportedly being held without bail.
