Where are they now: Nickelodeon’s My Brother and Me Cast

Every 90s kid should remember the popular Nickelodeon’s sitcom My Brother and Me.

Though it lasted only one season with 13 episodes, the comical song “Goo Punch” still resonates with all fans who reminiscence about the show.

During an era that produced perhaps the most visual images of African Americans on television, Nickelodeon succeeded in producing a family sitcom that depicted an average middle-class African American family.

Everyone laughed as they followed the escapades of brothers Alfred “Alfie” Parker and Derek “Dee-Dee” Parker during their adolescent years.

A popular episode (and arguably the most funny) was an episode where Dee-Dee wanted a haircut styled like Cool Dr. Money, a popular rapper in the series. Alfie’s best friend Goo coerced Dee-Dee into letting him cut his hair.

But that’s enough reminiscing on my behalf. What is the cast up to now, you ask?

Arthur Reggie III who portrayed Alfie is now a Hip Hop recording artist who goes under the moniker ShowBizness.

Residing in Los Angeles, CA, the former actor released his first mixtape titled “Purple Heart.”

Ralph Woolfolk IV portrayed Derek “Dee Dee” Parker, the younger brother of Alfie. Woolfolk graduated from Morehouse College, an all-male historically black college university located in Atlanta, GA.

Woolfolk played baseball for the prominent school and also pledged Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. via Alpha Rho chapter.

Woolfolk is also married to his college sweetheart Erikka Joy Montgomery.

Jimmy Lee Newman Jr. portrayed Milton “Goo” Berry, the always-mischievous best friend of Alfie.

Newman (the genius behind Goo Punch) has also married. He has not been in the acting profession in over a decade. His last known role was in 1997 on an episode of Sister, Sister, according to IMDB.com.

Amanda Seales, who portrayed Dionne Wilbur, is now a host on hip hop MTV2.

Stefan J. Wernli portrayed Donell Wilburn who was known for his one-liner “don’t hold your breath.” He attended Harvard University where he majored in computer science and physics. He was a member of the Harvard Callback, a Capella group for undergrads.

Many may wonder why the show was cancelled after only one season. Woolfolk told Clark Atlanta University student newspaper The Panther “the show was canceled due to disagreements between the producers and creators of the show; a second season was planned but the two parties had different visions for the show that caused a major fallout.”

This show would have certainly had a long life on Nickelodeon. We, at kollegekidd.com, wish the cast members the best in their endeavors.
