YG’s Producer DJ Mustard Praises Young Chop: ‘He’s Got Potential To Be One Of The Greats’

YG’s go-to producer DJ Mustard is a huge fan of Chicago-bred producer Young Chop. Mustard had nothing but great words to say about the “I Don’t Like” producer during an interview with BET.

“I feel like Young Chop in the next year or so is ready to take over,” Mustard said. Chief Keef and Chop [came up] together, just ’cause Chief Keef stopped didn’t mean Chop stopped. You just gotta really work for what you want and Chop got [what it takes].

“What does it take? “The producer game is different,” Mustard continued. “You gotta really be versatile, and I think Chop is one of those dudes that can do stuff that a lot of people can’t. I look up to Chop in some type of ways, not just cause that’s my homie, but he’s a dope producer and I feel like he’s got the potential to be one of the greats.”

Chop recently went from behind the keyboard to in front of the mic to record new single “All I Got.” Listen below.
