Saturday night, Fif – wearing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry – reached into a crowd to shake hands, and a woman grabbed his arm and pulled him off the stage. Fif threw a punch in self-defense.
The same woman was eventually brought on stage where she began twerking.
Kevin Gates recently finished a 180-day sentence at Polk County jail in Florida for kicking a young female fan in the chest during a performance. He was found guilty of misdemeanor battery by a jury of six white women in October 2016.
Gates was additionally ordered to a one-year probation term, according to Fox 13.
Gates’ sentence was three times more than what prosecutors asked for, according to the Lakeland Evening Ledger.
Gates’ legal woes are far from over. He was rearrested after learning of a warrant for his arrest for a felony weapons charge in Illinois, XXL Magazine reports. Gate’s case for an aggravated unlawful use of a weapon dates back to 2013.
