50 Cent comes from an old school era of Hip Hop, so he can’t quite understand the fashion trends of some of today’s younger artists. Fif recently took to IG to weigh in on Lil Uzi Vert’s $2,400 sweater that caught the attention of social media.
50 posted a side-by-side photo of Machine Gun Kelly and Lil Uzi Vert who were both photoed wearing the same sweater.
50 wrote, “this the new s***t, ok I don’t think I’m a do this one. LOL.
He later added in his comment section, “I like Uzi music, I’m trying to understand all this s**t. This s**t is expensive to $ 2,400, nah they can keep this one.”
Waka Flocka recently defended Uzi’s fashion choices. Waka says Uzi is entitled to wear what he wants because he’s simply not Hip Hop. Waka took to IG to repost a meme that features Uzi and Nas titled, “You Hip Hop, My Hip Hop.” A photo of Uzi dressed in feminine clothing was placed under “Your Hip Hop,” and a photo of Nas was placed beneath “My Hip Hop.”
Waka wrote, “This post ain’t bool @liluzivert is Rock not Hip Hop! This generation has #Logic #Jcole #Meek #KDot etc. let my era be great!!! Side note rock artist always been edge #ImJustTakingUp4HipHop & #TheseStreets #TheseYoungNiggasUp Big ole Facts #BigHomie #BigDawgBigDawg.”
Lil Uzi Vert continues to push gender boundaries of fashion. Uzi set social media on fire Saturday after a questionable image surfaced of him wearing women’s attire.
Famous Dex is another rapper who takes pride in his fashion choices. Dexter is among the thousands of people in the Hip Hop community who found Uzi’s wardrobe hilarious. Chicago comedian Donterio’s baked the XO Tour Life artist in a new IG video.
Dex reacted to Uzi’s garb in Donterio’s comment section.
“Omgggggggggggg,” Dexter wrote followed by laughing emojis.
