50 Cent has agreed to donate water to the people of Flint, MI after Meek Mill issued a $50,000 challenge for him to do so. President Obama declared a state of emergency in the Great Lake State due to the discovery of lead contamination in its water source.
Fif said it’s nothing to donate to a great cause because it’s a tax write off:
Even a [sh*t] Head knows we are supposed to help out Flint Michigan. I’m a ambassador for feeding America, I’m working with the United Nations world food program. I’ll find out what are the right organizations to donate to. It’s a tax right off anyway [sh*t] Head #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO
Fif went on to call Meek Mill’s charitable gestures a publicity stunt:
“You know you only trying donate so you can try and use it in court head. You don’t have money to give away. When Nikki find out you playing with her money boy oh boy your in for it.”
Anyone who knows 50 Cent knows the G-Unit boss is a humanitarian and philanthropist. Fif notably teamed up with Pure Growth Partners to launch a charitable energy drink called “Street King” in order to aid in combating world hunger. A portion of “Street King” sales goes to providing meals to underprivileged children around the world. Fif hopes to feed a billion people in Africa by 2016.
Flint isn’t quite like an impoverished country in Africa, but it is facing crisis similar to a third world country.
Though Flint is only 70 miles from the Great Lakes, its water source is anything but fresh. In 2014, government officials decided to save money by switching Flint’s water supply from Lake Huron to the Flint River. The highly corrosive river was discovered to contain iron, which gave it a brown color. This was due to the state Department of Environmental Quality failing to treat the river water with an anti-corrosive agent, a violation of federal law. The agent would’ve cost $100 a day. Children tested positive for high levels of lead in their blood.
African Americans comprise 60 percent of the people in Flint.
