Bobby Shmurda is making the most of his time in Clinton Correctional Facility. Bobby’s mother Leslie Pollard revealed to New York Daily News the rapper is currently writing music for a new album, and writing a script for a biopic.
This, of course, when he’s not working in the prison commissary for 10 to 25 cents an hour, which amounts to $7.75 a week, TMZ reports.
“He takes a flooring trade in the morning and works in the commissary in the afternoon,” Ms. Pollard told Daily News. “He works rest of the day finishing up the movie he’s trying to write. It’s a bio.”
Bobby has more than enough time to get his lyrics and script written.
Bobby is currently serving seven years in prison after pleading guilty in September to charges of 4th-degree conspiracy to criminally possess a weapon and 2nd-degree criminal weapons possession, according to Billboard.
Bobby was recently sentenced to four years in prison for possessing a shank in Rikers Island, the New York Post reports.
Luckily for Bobby, he will serve the time concurrent with his current seven-year sentence.
Bobby is expected to be released from prison on June 16, 2022. He is eligible for parole on June 16, 2021.
