Cam’Ron recently paid his respects to one of his closest friends from Harlem, Gerard Woodley, known to many as G-Love. Woodley, 46, was shot and killed outside his apartment building in Harlem on Friday, June 24. Woodley was suspected of taking the life of legendary rhymesmith Big L.
On Twitter, Cam wrote, “Another day, another funeral .. RIP, G-LOVE.”

Cam posted a photo onto IG of himself at the funeral, writing, “Me and Kev at G-Love funeral Rip #139st.”
Weeks ago, Cam took to IG to post a collage photo that featured Woodley and Big L.
The caption on his post read, “All born on 139st.. All died on 139st. Smh..damn..Rip my n-----!! #NFL #DangerZone.”
Woodley, a reported suspect in four other homicides, was close friends with Big L and even appeared on the back cover of the rapper’s 1995 debut album “Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous.”
Authorities believe a falling out between Big L and Woodley led to the rapper’s murder. Big L was believed to have been a part of stick up kids that robbed drug dealers. Woodley allegedly didn’t like this.
Woodley was arrested after Big L was found on Feb. 15, 1999 with nine gunshot wounds to the face and chest. But Woodley was released after the Manhattan District Attorney didn’t have enough witnesses and any incriminating surveillance footage.
Police believe Woodley’s recent business dealings in New Jersey led to his murder. Woodley’s murder comes less than a year after he was released from prison in September 2015 after serving four years on a weapons charge.
