Billionaire Alki David is perplexed by Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel’s hatred towards his newly signed FilmOn artist Chief Keef. Chief Keef appeared digitally in hologram at his Dillan Harris benefit concert Saturday night at Craze Fest at the Pavilion at Wolf Lake in Hammond, IN.
“Stop the violence,” Sosa said. “Stop the killing. Stop the nonsense. Let the kids grow up.”
Sosa went on to perform his hit single “I Don’t Like” to an enthusiastic crowd. But Sosa’s performance was cut short after Hammond police pulled the plug.
David told Noisey they attempted to throw off authorities by giving an incorrect location to Sosa’s performance.
“But, even then, I thought that once it got underway, and they saw that people weren’t dying in droves, they would just let it happen,” he said. “But no, they just stopped it. Which was stupid, and indicative of why there are so many problems in the inner city.”
David went on to accuse mayor Rahm Emanuel and the City of Chicago of silencing the voices of urban youths.
“They are banning the idea of freedom of speech from the inner city,” he continued. “It’s not just him, it’s everything about him, and everything he represents. He is the youth culture in that area. He is a voice. If you’re quashing that voice, then you are squashing the voice of the inner city youth, period.”
Sosa took aim at Rahm Monday on Twitter.
“Call Mayor of Chicago @rahemanuel 312-744-5000 and tell him to stay the f*ck off the people’s music #StopTheViolenceNow
“I think I’m the Biggest Capper of all time!!!!!!!” he wrote.
GloHive heeded Sosa’s call and subsequently trolled the mayor for canceling the concert.
Chief Keef went on to say he was running for mayor of Chicago.
“I’m running for mayor of Chicago….. Vote for me!!!!! It’ll be the best thing done yet!!!!! Yall gonna love me in the Office,” he wrote.
