Chief Keef’s much-anticipated hologram concert will be streaming online free of charge on FilmOn.TV.
Sosa confirmed the event is still on in a promotional video.
“Catch me this Friday, July 17 at a hologram in Chicago,” he said when promoting his “Stop The Violence Now” campaign. “Streaming live on FilmOn.TV.”
Sosa and FilmOn are currently looking for another venue to hold the concert after Redmoon Theatre in the Pilsen neighborhood backed out.
Debbie Saul, Redmoon’s director of marketing, emailed a statement to Chicago Sun Times that read, “Redmoon did not understand the full nature of the event. The event will not be taking place at Redmoon.”
Sosa will reportedly appear at the Chicago concert via hologram from soundstage in Beverly Hills, CA. The concert will be free, but concertgoers will be encouraged to make donations, which will benefit the family of baby Dillan Harris, who was in his stroller when gunmen in a vehicle swerved around a corner and barreled into him.
According to Sosa’s FilmOn Networks management, the Glo Gang frontman isn’t able to appear in Chicago in person due to due to “outstanding warrants his legal team.”
