Chris Brown is accused of punching a woman in the eye in Las Vegas, according to the AP.
The alleged victim told TMZ she was at a private party in Brown’s suite at Palms Casino Resort early Saturday morning. The woman, whose name is Liziane Gutierrez, told authorities Brown punched her in the right eye after he became upset with her for snapping a photo of him with her cellphone.
Las Vegas police opened an investigation against Brown after the woman called authorities.
Lt. Jeff Goodwin told the AP authorities received a call shortly before 10:30 a.m. about the alleged battery at the hotel.
Brown has yet to issue a statement on the matter.
Brown was let off felony probation in 2015, more than six years after assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna. He pleaded guilty to felony assault in that case.
