He has since been released from jail with no charges. Baby took to IG to say he acted in self-defense during the shooting.
Baby says he and his baby mama were shopping for “winter clothes” for their two children – ages 1 and 5 – when a group that included the victim confronted him.
“A n***a walked up on me, tried me, whipped out on my whole family,” Baby said. “…It was a 40 up on my family.”
Walmart issued a statement on the shooting.

We are thankful for the quick actions by the Huntersville Police Department that has resulted in an arrest,” Wal-Mart said in a statement. “We are working closely with law enforcement.
