XXL Mag officially released the top picks for their coveted Freshman Class edition. Chiraq artists Lil Bibby and Lil Durk were among the 12 MCs honored in the selection.
Lil Herb and Fredo Santana were nominated, but unfortunately, didn’t make the list.
Fans soon flooded Fredo’s mentions on Twitter requesting the Savage Squad Records frontman’s thoughts on his non-selection.
One fan asked, “How does @FREDOSANTANA300 NOT MAKE THE XXL FRESHMAN CLASS!?!?”
Fredo responded, “Cuz I’m not sign wit no gay ass label but the streets no wats up.”
Fredo went on to comment he would much rather make the cover of a popular business magazine.
“I’m tryna make forbes f**k dat cover….so my fans y’all can stop @me about it,” he wrote.
Despite Fredo’s statement on the matter, fans still decided to weigh in on what they felt was a snub.
