Katt Williams is behind bars in Hall County Jail in Georgia after he was accused of beating his bodyguard on Feb. 28, according to the New York Daily News.
The victim was beat after he refused to “engage in criminal activity as directed by Williams,” the Hall County sheriff said in a news release.
The famed comedian, 44, was subsequently charged Tuesday afternoon with aggravated assault, false imprisonment and terroristic threats.
Williams committed the act with two female acquaintances, according to the Gainesville Times. One woman, Tatiana Smith, 24, is accused of choking the bodyguard and assaulting him with a baseball bat.
Smith has been charged with aggravated assault, misdemeanor marijuana possession and possession the drug Alprazolam
The second woman, Lena Smith, 40, was charged with felony possession of marijuana.
Williams was arrested Feb. 29 on a separate misdemeanor battery charge in Gainesville after a store employee at Leslie’s Pool Supplies On Dawsonville Highway told authorities the comedian punched him during an argument. Williams was released on $5,000 bond.
