Kodak Black is facing another uphill battle after he was accused of a sexual battery incident last February in South Carolina. The sexual misconduct occurred at a Comfort Suites Hotel in Florence, SC.
In South Carolina, a criminal sexual conduct charge can occur in a number of ways. A victim can reportedly be forced to have sex through aggravated force, during a kidnapping or while physically helpless due to the influence of a controlled substance.
Kodak rapped a line about drugging women in song “Gave It All I Got.”
He raps, “Running out of mollies, so I laced her up with powder.”
This line may prove to be detrimental to his case if the incident involved him providing a control substance to the victim.
The crime carries a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.
This warrant was discovered just as Kodak was awaiting his release from jail for other crimes that could’ve landed him in jail for 55 years. A judge sentenced him to one year of house arrest and five years of probation after he pleaded no contest to numerous charges, including robbery false imprisonment, fleeing a law enforcement officer and possession of a firearm by a delinquent.
The plea deal allowed Kodak to escape being tainted as a convicted felon. He also would’ve been allowed to tour internationally.
This isn’t Kodak’s first arrest. In 2015, Kodak was arrested after allegedly forcing several people into a car after he accused someone of breaking into his house.
He was later released on bond, but then arrested once again in April 2016 after police observed him in a drug deal in Hallandale Beach. Kodak then led police on a car chase, ditching a gun in a dumpster before his arrest.
When accepting the plea deal, Judge Lisa Porter had this to say to Kodak:
“I will give you an opportunity, Mr. Octave, to prove yourself here, and be a productive member of society. What happens from here on out is up to you.”
