Boosie, 32, is a grown ass man. Boosie recently dropped the “Lil” from his stage name. Fans can now refer to the Baton Rouge native as “Boosie Badazz.”

Boosie sat down with DJ Smallz Eyes to explain the reasoning behind his name change.

“I got tired of people coming up to me calling me ‘Lil Boosie.’ N*gga, I’m a boss,” Boosie said. “I’m 30 years old, damn. Call me Boosie Badazz. Should’ve put a mister in front. …I’m a king.”

Boosie also touched on the other name fans have bestowed upon him- “BooPac.” Boosie say fans have compared him to Tupac because his music touches them.
