It was in November 2013 when Lil Durk signed paperwork solidifying himself as the proud owner of his OTF label.
“OTFENT is a official label now #celebration,” he wrote.
Durk has big plans for his flagship record company.
“I’ma get big and I’ma get artists and we gonna take off,” the “Signed To The Streets” rapper said in the “Chiraq” documentary.
The Coke Boy made news in October after signing Newark, NJ artist AllstarDaGreat, better known as “ADG” to his then-OTF imprint.
Durk and ADG linked for the Cashous Clay-produced track “Turn Down for What.”
Durk also plans to use OTF as a vehicle to give back to the community.
“…One of the members of OTF just bought a building for the kids… a gym…he opened up a gym,” Durk said.
Durk doesn’t OTF to be associated with any negativity.
“I don’t want them to be like ‘OTF was just in the news for another gun case.’
But Durk says this will be difficult because the actions of any of his affiliates will always fall back on OTF.
“They ain’t gon sort you out. They gon say ‘OTF,’” Durk explained. “So if you affiliated with it, ‘I don’t care if you from China,’ if you’re OTF and you’re affiliated, it’s gonna be some bullshit.”
