G Herbo announced he was prepping the release of his debut album “Humble Beast” late last month.
Herb confirmed to HotNewHipHop fans can expect the project to drop before the close of the year.
“You can definitely expect an album in 2016,” he said. “On the low, within a six month radius… maybe.”
Lil Herb’s debut album will be titled “Humble Beast.” G Herbo’s title has special significance to him.
The NLMB spitter explained the meaning of “Humble Beast” during an interview with Vlad TV.
“I first heard that from my homie,” Herb explained. “He play basketball. I seened it and I related to it. Humble beat, it means, first of all, growing up in the jungle you become a beast. When you adapt to it, it turn you into a beast. That’s what the jungle is made of – beasts. Being a humble beast is using your head, being humble, down to earth. …You bring the beast out when it’s time. You let the beast speak for itself. …I let my music and my brand speak for itself. I am a beast and I’m humble.”
Jonny Shipes, founder of Herb’s label Cinematic Music Group, announced Herb’s debut album would drop in 2016 during an interview with XXL Mag.
“…Next year, we will put out his debut album,” he said.
Herb’s album will drop after he completes his “Ballin Like I’m Kobe” tour.
