Lil Jay has announced the official release date for his debut album “Clout Lord.” The FBG Clout Boy said in a recorded phone call from jail that his project is dropping on Nov. 12- his birthday.
Jay told fans in June he was releasing the project on iTunes via IG.
“Coming soon via iTunes S/o @chicagokingdave #CloutLrd #F*ckFame,” the caption on his IG post read.
This project follows the release of his solid mixtape “Unexpected Fame 2.”
Lil Jay is also prepping his “King Lil Jay” tour.
Jay requested a large monetary donation from fans in the amount of $200,000 via GoFundMe. The Clout Lord has raised over $3,000 in just four days.
Lil Jay is confident he’ll back on the streets in no time.
Two images surfaced on Lil Jay’s IG account of the Clout Lord dressed in a jail suit during visitation in Cook County.
“Liljay will be coming to a city near you.
“Liljay said what’s up he’ll be back down soon,” the captions on the posts read.
Lil Jay may possibly be home before the New Year hits. Clout Lord’s manager @rockstarharryj hinted his impending release in an IG post.
He wrote, “Don’t be surprised If you see CLOUTLORD before Thanksgiving… Coming home soon….KINGLILJAY.”
Lil Jay was charged with murder in May. He is being held without bail after his associate, Filmon N. Rezene, 25, died from injuries sustained in the shootout, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Lil Jay, 21, was charged in Rezene’s death along with Rakeem ‘Butta’ Wilton, 20; Roshinda Young, 22; Monique Lane-Calhoun, 25; and Brittany Dupree, 20.
Rezene appeared in Jay’s “Faneto (GMix)” music video.
Rezene was shot in self-defense following an argument with a 22-year-old man in Calumet City. Lil Jay, Rezene and the group allegedly went to purchase marijuana from the 22-year-old man, but an argument ultimately erupted. The group left and returned with a firearm provided by Rezene’s girlfriend Young.
The 22-year-old was shot four times but was also armed and fired back at Rezene, who was struck “several” times, prosecutors told the Sun-Times.
Lil Jay, Young, Lane-Calhoun and Butta were arrested at the scene after police spoke with the 22-year-old victim and witnesses. Police later arrested Dupree after spotting her leaving Lil Jay’s apartment with a bag of handguns, including two used in the shooting.
Rezene died May 15 from his injuries in Stroger Hospital.
Audio of Lil Jay surfaced onto the net Friday requesting fans donate him $100,000 via his GoFundMe account.
“I’m innocent,” he said. “I need yall to help me raise $100,000, so I can be free. Once I’m free, you’ll have seven free concerts, giving out free food and drinks and I’m autographing t-shirts.”
