Lil Yachty is getting extreme heat for calling The Notorious B.I.G. overrated during Pitchfork’s “Over/Under” segment.
Yachty took to Twitter to defend himself against critics.
Yachty told critics he should not be faulted for not having Biggie in his playlist.
“I’m sorry but I refuse to lie. If I don’t listen to Biggie or think he is as big as everybody else why is that a problem lol who cares bro
“I speak my mind. I might be the only new age artist speaking his mind
“N****s mad at me for having an opinion.. catch a grip and relax you’ll be okay. I promise. The world will still spend
“If you fell like I disrespect biggie idk what to tell u because I didn’t. I didn’t say he was bad or even that he wasn’t a legend.
“I said I felt he was over rated for the simple fact that if I would have said he was underrated it still would have made blogs…
“Because u old timb boot wear’ers know I don’t listen to him so then you would have called me out for lying on calling him under-rate right?
“Or maybe I should have said no comment right ans said nothing? Lmao f**k outta here ppl,” he wrote.
This isn’t Yachty’s first time making controversial remarks about Biggie.
Yachty and his friends got into a debate over who is the better artist, Drake or Tupac?
According to Yachty’s friends, Pac and Biggie don’t got s**t on Drake.
