Jerry Heller, the manager of famed rap group N.W.A, has died, according to All Hip Hop. He was 75.
Heller’s cause of death is unknown.
Jerry filed a $100 million defamation lawsuit against Ice Cube and Dr. Dre for his portrayal in the “Straight Outta Compton” film.
Heller said the film portrayed him as a villain who schemed N.W.A. out of money. In the lawsuit, Heller says he never consented to the use of his name and likeness in the film and that the film stole material from his memoir, Forbes reports.
Heller’s passing sent shockwaves throughout social media.
Story developing.
