Raekwon, Dame Dash and Snoop Dogg made Hip Hop news after announcing they were forming a Hip Hop House of Representatives. Raekwon sat down with Hip Hops Revival to elaborate on their plans for the new movement.
“That’s a movement to motivate our peers to start a motivational congress team,” Raekwon explained. “I mean a team that could dictate how things need to be in our Hip Hop society. We gotta have a government. We gotta have dudes that come and support one another. We gotta have dudes that come and give you mental jewels to be a better whatever you want to be inside of this music thing. The Hip Hop representatives is just motivational speakers that paved the way in the game and opened it for cats like yall to come in and get yall shine. It’s a fraternity for brothers to unite and fight off the haters and the wickedry that lives inside this. People so excited to be in the industry but not really knowing how wild and crooked it is. We just wanna warn you of the wicked ways people have in this business.”
Dame Dash took to IG to explain his brainchild.
Dame’s caption, read, “@raekwon thought it was a good idea if we put together some policy for people that have the same mentality as us and me and @snoopdogg agreed gonna call it The hip hop house of representatives stay tuned we announced it so its gonna happen#honaorablepeoplesticktogether the world is gonna see our culture stick together and do positive shit and look cool doing this is what we all need to do…any thing else is bubble gum shit#hustleforyourlastnamenotyourfirst”
Dame said the trio is planning a music festival.
His caption on his IG post, read, “don’t think anybody even knows that but we represent the same thing and always have so you know we gonna link up and get money together @raekwon is there 2 we gonna do a festival.
