Rapper Swizz Beatz Disses Molly

Not everyone is falling victim to the latest drug craze in Hip Hop. Molly has become Hip Hop’s drug of choice this year.

But rapper and producer Swizz Beats isn’t jumping on the bandwagon. The “Money In The Bank” rapper would rather “pop wine.”

“Go time !!! They pop Molly’s I pop wine,” the caption read on his Instagram account.

Though uttered quite often in lyrics, the term “Molly” may have went over listeners’ heads. But it was until Hip Hop newcomer Trinidad James came on the scene did many fans start to wonder what or who “Molly” was. James showcased music video “All Gold Everything” with perhaps the hottest line of the year: “Popped a Molly, I’m sweating, Woo!”

“Molly” is a pure ecstasy in powder form. When induced, it puts the user in a euphoric state.

Trinidad James appeared in an interview with Power 105’s Breakfast Club to express his love for the Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) drug. The Georgia rapper said his drug of choice prior to using “Molly” was marijuana. But after using Molly for first time, he said, he never went back.

“All the people are like, ‘I don’t know what it is, but every time I hear the song, I just wanna do it,’ ” James said in an interview with MTV News. “That’s a terrible excuse, but go ‘head, get high, go ‘head. Blame Trinidad, blame it on me.”

Though he loves Molly, James insists he doesn’t use it often.

“I might go months without doin’ anything and then I’ll be like, you know, when I’m in L.A., I wanna party with these people. I feel like I can’t get turnt up fast enough, I’m just gonna do this,” he said.
