Tink surely has some big heels to fill. According to Timbaland, she is already strutting like a pro.
But could Tink possibly be this generation’s Aaliyah?
Tim regarded Tink’s debut LP as one of the best projects he’s produced since Aaliyah’s sophomore album “One In A Million” during an interview with Power 105’s “The Breakfast Club.”
Aaliyah’s breakout project sold 10 million copies worldwide and boasts six Billboard Hot 100 singles, including, “If Your Girl Only Knew,” “One in a Million,” “Got to Give It Up,” “4 Page Letter,” “Hot Like Fire” and “The One I Gave My Heart To.”
Tim previewed Tink’s hot single “Movin Bass” featuring Jay Z and Rick Ross to make believers out of listeners on The Breakfast Club.
The super-producer praised Tink’s artistry on the Breakfast Club, saying “God” led him to the 19-year-old songstress.
Tim said he discovered Tink’s music through Da Internz during a visit to L.A.
“God worked everything out. It was so miraculously. It was like at the time He knew what I needed.”
Tim said he almost retired from the music biz prior to meeting Tink.
“She was music and she saved my life,” he said.
“In today’s music she will be the only one who resonates sales,” he added.
