Tinks says the use of ghostwriters is prevalent in today’s Hip Hop during Hot 97’s “97 Seconds.”
Tink writes her own music. She attributes her songwriting skills to learning poetry in grade school.
“I started off actually writing poems maybe like in third grade,” he said. “That actually helped my a lot.”
“A lot of artists today don’t write,” she continued. “You’d be surprised how many artists write everything on their own. I’m definitely one of those artists. Poetry helped a lot starting when I was young. I was just writing words that rhymed.
“Tink definitely brings storytelling to Hip Hop. I speak about real matters, incidents that I actually been through.”
