Chicago rapper Top Shotta is currently nearing the release date of his solo debut mixtape “Shots Fired, Shots Landed.”
The Hella Bandz rapper revealed his project is slated to drop Jan. 27.
Top Shotta has a nice supporting cast that assisted in making this project a reality, including, Lil Mouse, King Samson, Ebone Hoodrich, 24hourboys, Heavy Lo and Ty Money.
Shotta, who hails from the Wild Hundreds, says his mixtape will open the eyes of people who were blind to his lyrics and style.
“I just want to give fans that keep me going what they wanted… a real mixtape and music for all the hoods worldwide,” he said.
Shotta says he plans to connect with his fans by providing them his life stories.
“…Things I’ve been through, going through and may go through,” he said.
Shotta aims to create “great music.”
“…I stuck mostly to my normal tactics of telling what happen and could happen to you in Chiraq,” he said.
Describing his song creation style as “unpredictable,” Shotta said there are a “few tracks you can get money to or turn a party up.”
“I just heard a beat and got to work, writing how I felt,” he said.
A few tracks fans can look forward to that Shotta regards as his personal favorites include, “Fuck Fame” featuring Lil Mouse and King Samson, “A Lot Of Bandz” featuring Ebone Hoodrich, “Hittaz,” “Pump Faking” and “Toni Kukoc.”
Shotta tapped producers DboyOnDaTrack, XJ Beatz, Tha Orchestr8er and Chase Davis to handle the project’s production.
DJ Shon and DJ Amaris are onboard to host the mixtape.
Shotta’s release date for SFSL is not set in stone, but the “Asthma” rapper says the project may drop this month or mid December on Live Mixtapes and Datpiff.
