Wacka Flocka Flame is advocating the release of Louisiana-based rapper Lil’ Boosie.
The “Grove Street Party” rapper tweeted simply, “Free Boosie.”
Lil’ Boosie, born Torence Hatch, was found not guilty of first-degree murder by jury.
The “Swerve” rapper was accused of hiring hit man Michael Louding, also known as “Marlo Mike,” to murder another Baton Rouge rapper Terry Boyd. Boyd was murdered inside his home in 2009.
It took the jury, which consisted of 8 black jurors and 4 white jurors, only an hour to reach a verdict in the case.
“All I can do is give the glory to God because I knew he was never guilty,” Connie Hatch, Lil’ Boosie mother, told CBS 9. “He’s crying and he knew from the beginning he was never guilty.”

Lil’ Boosie has put his time in prison to good use. A picture surfaced online of Bossie holding a GED he earned at Angola Prison in Angola, Louisiana.
Despite beating a murder rap, Boosie is currently serving eight years for attempting to sneak marijuana into prison. It was rumored the Baton Rouge rapper may be released this summer or as late as 2014.
