Waka Flocka is offering moral support to former good friend Gucci Mane following news of the Bricksquad 1017 frontman’s recent guilty plea in his weapons case.
“@gucci1017 hold your head my n*gga. No man deserves jail Flock,” he wrote.
Gucci Mane, born Radric Davis, appeared in federal court Tuesday and pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The 33-year-old Bricksquad 1017 boss reportedly reached a plea deal with prosecutors to serve three years and three months in prison. He faced a maximum of 10 years in jail after being arrested on two counts of felony gun possession.
The “I Heard” rapper was arrested Friday, Sept. 14 after authorities found him in an erratic state with a Glock 40-caliber handgun and 11 rounds of ammunition, according to court documents obtained by AJC. Davis was discovered two days before on Sept. 12 with a Taurus 45-caliber handgun and eight rounds of ammunition.
Gucci will be sentenced in July.
There was an initially bad blood between Waka and Gucci.
Gucci Mane periodically directed shots at Waka via Twitter with threats he would sell all rights to the Bricksquad Monopoly frontman.
“I will sell all rights to Waka Flocka Flame for 1M. His next 3albums & my percentage of his publishing mechanicals and touring. Who want this lil nigga? #ww3,” he wrote.
Gucci kept the feud boiling with more threats to sell off Waka.
“Waka flacka flames officially dropped off brick squad 1017. Big Guwop say give me a offer fa this disloyal lil nigga,” Gucci wrote.
The message was later deleted with reps for Gucci asserting the account was hacked.
Waka refuted claims his former business associate’s account was hacked during an interview with MTV’s RapFix.
“His Twitter wasn’t hacked because we had a conversation before that. Real aggressive words like ‘Ni**a get up,” he said. “Let’s do this. Rah rah rah.’ Then a tweet come, then mysteriously someone hacked it.”
Waka also contested Gucci’s claims that he was “disloyal,” calling himself the “loyalist person you could ever see.”
“Like I took on a man’s beef, risked my life, hung out the window, risked my freedom. You know what I mean? I never backed in a corner,” he explained. “To my knowledge it can’t be nothing but jealousy or something because it’s nothing I did disloyal.”
Waka commented he holds no ill-will towards Gucci Mane, but asserts he and Gucci’s business relationship is over.
“I feel like God wanted us to straight ways because he ain’t it,” Waka continued. “He bad vibe around me… I greet fans. He push fans. There’s a difference.
“There will never be no business..Never ever in life. No music, nothing. I won’t do no music with him, no business, nothing… I don’t feel nothing he say out his mouth. It aint real,” he added.
Waka hasn’t released a statement in response to Gucci’s message. But Waka’s RapFlix interview gives insight into whether Gucci has any power to sell the “Flockavelli” rapper’s rights.
“Plus I own a percentage of Bricksquad 1017 and own 100 percentage of Bricksquad Monopoly, so you can’t kick the boss out. It’s impossible,” he said.

Waka later dissed Gucci Mane in “Ice Cream.”
“Ice Cream” is the nickname Waka designated for Gucci in reference to the Bricksquad 1017 rapper’s face tattoo.
Waka touches on his disgruntles with Gucci in the opening hook.
“…When I met Gucci, thought I met a real ni**a/Until he cross the line and he became a f*ck ni**a.”
But he gets more expressive about his feelings toward Gucci in the track’s second verse.
“Used to be my nigga, now you jealous, where the love at?/No loyalty, you put money over all that/Fuck this industry, cause’ the streets know the real facts/P.S. Don’t get caught in that, this ain’t for promotion/All in your feelings, all in your emotions/Just for attention, you cause all of this commotion/Nigga you just talking you don’t really want your business in the open,” he raps.
