Young Thug isn’t the least bit concerned with what people have to say about him. Thug actually likes the comments made about him. The “Slime Season” rapper opened up on a range of criticism he endures from fans during an interview with The Guardian.
“I like everything that people say,” Thug told The Guardian. “No matter what they say. You gay, you a punk. You got a nice girlfriend, you’re ugly, you can’t rap, you’re the hardest.”
Thug professed he is not gay.
In song “Halftime,” Young Thug raps, “No, I’m not gay, I f*ck b*tches on b*tches/I whip out she suck on my privates (suck it!).”
Thug’s stylist Joanna “JoJo” Zarur stresses that her client is not gay despite his desire to wear women’s attire.
According the 23-year-old stylist, Thug thrives off of it.
“Sometimes he’ll do stuff on purpose that he knows will piss people off,” she told Pitchfork. “If people start talking sh*t about his nails being red, he’ll put crystals on the nails. Talk about his jeans, he’s like, ‘I want tighter jeans.’ He goes out of his way to make a sure people know he doesn’t care. He finds it funny cause at the end of the day, he’s setting a trend. He’ll look at Instagram and read the hater comments and laugh, and show his friends. He’s the perfect person for what he’s doing. I could not see anyone else doing it better, honestly.
Thug opened up on his choice of fashion during a recent interview with GQ Magazine.
Thug revealed he wears women’s clothing because they fit him better.
“…Women’s clothes are [slimmer] than men’s clothes,” he said. “The jeans I got on right now, they’re women’s jeans. But they fit how they’re supposed to fit. Like a rock star.”
He added, “The only thing I probably have in men’s is like briefs. T-shirts. Ninety percent of my clothes are women’s.”
