Young Thug is inching closer to the April 17 release date of his “Carter Six” project. The “Lifestyle” took to IG to release his “Barter Six” promo.
The promo features footage of Thug at concert performances with an eerie voice, saying, “Young n-gga. Young f-cking money. F*ck you. I kill you. Bumbaclot.”
Last Wednesday, Thugga took to IG to reveal the project’s cover art and release date.
Thug is shown shirtless behind a red backdrop that mimics the sun.
“#c6otw 4/17,” the caption on the post read.
Young Thug revealed his Weezy-inspired title during an interview with DJ Whoo Kid.
“I just feel like I’m that big,” he said. Cause [Wayne] said after ‘Tha Carter V’ he won’t make no more music cause he said can’t nobody make no music like that.
Lil Wayne recently dissed Young Thug during a performance. Thug issued a statement after learning of Weezy’s words.
“Yall let him know I said ‘F*ck em,’” Weezy said. “…I want yall to do me a favor. Stop listening to songs of n-ggas that pose naked on their motherf-cking album cover.”
Thug responded by calling Wayne his idol.
“I understand that Lil Wayne is frustrated about his career,” he said in a vlog. “I feel him on that. But this is my idol. I wouldn’t ever in my life swap words with him or beef with him about nothing. This is a person I look up to. Haha”
His caption on his IG post read, “I respect @liltunechi for being someone so big in my life, no matter what he say.”
