Tekashi69 May Go Into Protective Hiding and Get New Identity In Witness Protection Program

6ix9ine has the option of going into protective custody upon his release from jail.

The controversial rapper spent last week testifying against Trey Nine OGs, Anthony Ellison, 31, and Aljermiah Mack, 33, in their racketeering and firearms case.

6ix9ine pleaded guilty in January to racketeering conspiracy and eight other charges. He faces a minimum of 47 years in prison. His cooperation could earn him no jail time with time served.

Prosecutors have indicated he could enter the witness protection program.

Other notorious witnesses, including mobsters and hit men, have respectively started over as baker owners and doll salesmen, two former federal law enforcement officials told the New York Times.

“Despite how connected we are, and the appetite for social media content in this country, there are places where, if this kid gets a haircut and wears normal clothes, no one would know or care who he is,” Jay Kramer, a former F.B.I. official who worked on organized crime cases, told NY Times.
