Kevin Gates was officially transferred to state prison after he was sentenced to 30 months in prison Wednesday after pleading guilty to felony gun possession, TMZ reports.
Gates was transferred to Stateville Correctional Center on Thursday, April 27. The “I Don’t Get Tired” rapper’s projected discharge date is June 22, 2019. He could possibly be paroled on June 22, 2018.
Gates’ gun case dates back to 2013. A warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to appear in court.
Gates was extradited to Chicago last month to face his gun charge upon the completion of his 180-day sentence from a Florida jail. Gates was jailed for kicking a female fan in the chest.
