A teen in Chicago accidently shot a 6-year-old girl last week after missing his intended target, The Chicago Tribune reports. The 15-year-old boy pulled out a gun after a dispute over a bet following a basketball game.
The boy was charged as an adult Tuesday on charges of aggravated battery with a firearm, The Chicago Tribune reports. Though he has been charged as an adult, authorities are refusing to release his name due to his age.
The shooting occurred after a basketball game gone wrong. The teen and a group of young men got into a dispute over a bet following a basketball game. The suspect pulled out a gun and shot at his intended targets. However, he missed and shot the young girl.
