Lil Reese was released from jail after posting $50,000 bail amid his felony gun charge arrest.
Reese took to Twitter to issue a controversial statement regarding his gun charge arrest.
“Police fufu put a gun on me but I’m out tho wat y’all talking bout I ain’t got my phone rite na but imma getup wit y’all… #300,” he wrote.
Lil Reese, born Tavares Taylor, was arrested for felony possession of a firearm July 28, according to XXL Mag. He was reportedly held in Cook County jail.
Fans took to social media to weigh in on Reese’s arrest.
Reese has a long rap sheet.
Reese was arrested June 2013 and charged with misdemeanor theft. He allegedly presented false documentation to obtain a 2006 BMW 750 Li on April 13, according CBS 2 Chicago.
He was held on $5,000 bond, according to the Sun-Times.
This arrest came only two months after the “Supa Savage” rapper was arrested after he was found sleeping in his car.
He was taken into custody for an arrest warrant involving criminal actions in Champaign County and held on $100,000 bond.
Reese was nabbed for possession of marijuana a month later in July 2013.
Reese was spotted with the drug after police saw the Glory Boy remove a plastic sandwich bag from his pocket.
Police searched Reese and found four grams of cannabis and $2,090, according to the Chicago Sun Times.
When officers asked Reese where the money came from, the Black Disciple responded, “It’s mine, I got a little weed. So what? There’s serious crime out there. This ain’t a big deal. I’m gangster,” according to a police report obtained by the Tribune.
Reese was held on $10,000 bail.
On Feb. 1, 2012, Lil’ Reese was involved in an incident that led to charges of criminal trespass, mob actions and battery, according to Champaign County court records obtained by the Chicago Sun-Times.
In a video that has since gone viral, Lil’ Reese can be seen engaged in an altercation with 18-year-old Tiairah Marie.
A violent tussle ensued and Reese is seen throwing punches at the young woman. It also appears the Reese received some assistance from a friend in the beating.
Reese took to Twitter to address the issue.
“The haters tryna see a mf Dwn lol Dey gotta b broke and bored wanna upload sum shit from years ago damnn we winnin it’s 2 late…#3hunna,” he wrote.
Marie revealed the incident took place a year ago and the fight came as a result of her asking the rapper to leave her “crib.”
Marie wrote she is way past the incident, but acknowledged any man who lays their hands on a woman is a “P*ssy.”
