Lil Durk announced that slain cousin OTF Nunu’s solo debut mixtape “Nuski Got Da Strap” will drop during the holiday season.
Durk took IG to issue a public service announcement regarding the project.
“Nuski Got Da Strap. Dec. 15,” he said. “We finna promote this motherf-cker like it’s mine. We gon put all out artists on that motherf-cker and go crazy. Squad sh-t only.”
The project was initially set to drop July 4.
DJ Bandz and DJ Victoriouz are expected to host the project. Bandz took to IG to reveal the project’s cover art.
“Who made dis cover? I think ima go w dis 1 I need sum sh*t changed doe we Fena drop nunu official mixtape dis 4th of July #LongLiveNuski,” the caption on his post read.
Nuski was recording tracks for his debut at Chicago native Merk Murphy’s studio, according to the Chicago Sun Times.
“This was going to be his breakout project,” Murphy said.
NuNu’s life was taken from him after an unknown gunman fired multiple shots at the budding artist who was sitting in his vehicle in a parking lot outside of Chatham Village Square mall at Cottage Grove and 87th Streets, according to the Chicago Tribune.
NuNu reportedly attempted to flee his assailant, but ultimately crashed into a nearby store before dying at the scene. He was 21.
