An East Syracuse Minoa student was killed after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle, ABC 9 reports.
Austin Elmore, a 17-year-old aspiring artist, was thrown from his bike in the tragic incident.
Donna DeSiato, superintendent of the East Syracuse Minoa Central School District, released a statement:
“The East Syracuse Minoa Central School District mourns the tragic loss of Austin and we extend our deepest, heartfelt sympathy to his family. Austin was a fine young man and a talented artist. Our school community is grieving at this time.”
The driver of the vehicle has not been charged in accident.
