Ball State University sorority sisters are facing criminal charges after vandalizing another student’s car following a hazing complaint, WRTV reports.

The sorority sisters sought payback in May after an ex-pledge filed a December 2011 complaint against the sorority for violating the university’s hazing policy.

“We fully investigated that complaint and did not find enough evidence to support that complaint of hazing,” Lynda Riley, Associate Vice President of Student Affairs, told WRTV.

Sorority sisters Briana Fulton, Lauren Mason and Bianca Humphrey went searching for the former pledge’s vehicle in her apartment’s parking lot. But they vandalized the wrong car.

The women smeared another student’s car with dog feces, nail polish and scratched vulgar words on it. Upon learning they damaged the wrong car, they went back to the location later that night and damaged the ex-pledge’s vehicle.

The women were each charged with two counts of criminal mischief, a class D felony that carries 18 months in prison. The sorority is currently on probation.

Riley told WRTV the young women are “not currently enrolled as students” at the university.
