It was in late March when Kehlani got exposed for cheating on NBA champion Kyrie Irving with ex-boyfriend PartyNextDoor.
Kehlani took to IG to congratulate Kyrie on winning the NBA title with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
“Tough night for the city, but congratulations the most humble person I’ve ever met! @kyrieirving I love u!” she wrote in her caption.
Kehlani’s comment section was soon flooded with a flurry of “Ls.”
Kehlani suffered more Ls months ago after PartyNextDoor posted a photo of himself in bed with the “Down For You” singer.
Kyrie said him and Kehlani were not dating at the time the photo was posted.
“It’s been hard to see what’s been going on and not address the truth,” he wrote on Twitter. “I do not justify the picture or what dude did to try and spark all of this nonsense that could have been avoided, but me and Kehlani were not dating when the picture came out.”
Kyrie said he had no hard feelings for his former girl who claimed to have attempted suicide.
“It’s unfortunate that it’s received so much attention but its become bigger because of a post that was misunderstood,” he wrote. “Nothing but love and compassion over this way for her and her family. My only focus the Game I love to play every night.”
Kehlani alleged she attempted to take her own life following the cheating scandal backlash.
Kehlani found herself getting trolled heavily on her IG account. She deactivated her account, but not before posting a note onto her account, apologizing to Kyrie:
“I was in a dark place. Feeling totally incapable of being loved, was told things like love was possible maybe but also very impossible for someone in my position.. was used to being in situations where I was so unappreciated and gave so much with little to nothing in return and slowly accepted that’s how relationships work. 75% to 20%.
