The Game is impressed with Kendrick Lamar’s “Damn” album. Game took to social media to praise his fellow Bompton emcee, saying Tupac would’ve been proud.
Game confidently told followers K. Dot’s third LP is “dope as f**k.”
“If you are a true fan of Hip Hop, then you have it memorized by now!!!” Game said. “If you are a hip hop fan & you do not have @kendricklamar s**t by now… F**K You, that’s on Compton, Bompton and my hood and kids.”
Game, once a pupil and now a teacher of the culture, told followers he studied the album, and is proud.
“K-Dot, you know where we from and what it took for n****s like us to not only make it out the HUB alive but to achieve greatness on the same accord is nothing short of a blessing,” he wrote on IG. “This s**t got me real motivated.. glad real rap still exist… no disrespect to you sucka n****s.. but f**k y’all, you can’t rap, and ya mama know you ain’t s**t.”
Game continued his passionate rant, saying Tupac would’ve been proud.
Kendrick sold 603,000 copies of his project in the first week since its release, Billboard reports.
Kendrick’s album debuted atop the Billboard 200 album chart Sunday with highest sales figures of 2017 thus far, Newsweek reports.
Kendrick reportedly sold 353,000 in traditional digital download sales. He sold 227,000 units in streaming equivalent numbers. An additional 23,000 units came from track equivalent album (TEA) sales.
