21 Savage has much to celebrate after recording impressive numbers for his debut LP “Issa Album.” The Atlanta rapper moved 77,000 units of his project in its first week, Billboard reports.
21’s sales allowed him to move into the No. 2 spot in Billboard’s 200 album chart. Jay Z bested 21 for the No. 1 spot after moving 222,000 units of “4:44.”
21 Savage moved 22,000 units in traditional album sales; 51,000 units through streaming equivalent albums (SEA); and 7,000 units through track equivalent albums (TEA).
21’s goal for “Issa Album” is to let fans know his story.
When promoting “Issa” on IG, 21 wrote, “just a street nigga with a dream..I don’t have to be the best or the richest I jus want y’all to hear my story because it’s real..ISSA OUT NOW !!”
