A 4-year-old boy was injured during a Tuesday afternoon drive-by shooting in South Side Chicago, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
The boy was caught in the crossfire after sitting in a vehicle with a 26-year-old man who was shot several times by an unknown assailant. The shooting occurred after the gunmen pulled alongside the victim’s vehicle and opened fire before speeding off.
The man was transported to two different hospitals before he ultimately died from his injuries.
The boy, who was shot in the wrist, was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital. He is expected to recover from his injury.
