Fitness guru Shaun Thompson, known to many as Shaun T. for his “Insanity” fitness videos, got married to his longtime boyfriend Scott Blokker in October. Shaun T. came out via a retweet on Twitter soon after his ceremony.

Thompson’s good friend and wedding attendee Alex Coloreo tweeted and Instagrammed photo from the ceremony.

“The two most amazing people in the entire world so happy for you both @Blokker1 @shaunTfitness,” she wrote.



Shaun T. retweeted the message and replied, “@PlainCrepes the hubby and the BFF! #love!”



Shaun T. is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the first Black, Inter-Collegiate Greek-Letter fraternity. He was initiated via the Nu Iota chapter at Rowan University in Fall ’97 alongside seven brothers. They are known as the “Souls of the Pharaohs.”



Alpha Phi Alpha was founded on Dec. 4, 1906 at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. The fraternity’s aims are “manly deeds, scholarship, and love for all mankind,” and its motto is “First of All, Servants of All, We Shall Transcend All.” The fraternity has nearly 300,000 members worldwide and famous members include Civil Rights icon Martin Luther King, Jr., Olympian Jesse Owens and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall.
