Are Record Labels Courting Chief Keef?

Chief Keef posed a question to over a million followers on IG.

“How Many Labels Calling My Phone?” he wrote in the caption of a photo that included himself, his uncle Ro and Interscope A&R Larry Jackson.

Could Sosa have been inferring that he may be landing on a new label very soon?

Fredo Santana has already expressed interest in signing his blood cousin to his flagship label Savage Squad Records.

“@ChiefKeef tell Interscope let me buy that contract off them I’ll sign u to SavageSquadRecords,” he wrote.

Fredo would go on to retweet a fan who wrote, “@ChiefKeef joining @FREDOSANTANA300’s label would be a scary site.”

Chiraq artist Tay600 called Interscope’s decision to release Sosa a bad move.

“INTERSCOPE DROPPED SOSA ….. DAT WAS NOT A SMART MOVE TO ME,” he wrote.

The “Wit Da Shitz” rapper backed his argument in a series of tweets:

“SOSA LIKE DA DR.dre OF CHICAGO …DIDN’T KNO CHICAGO RAPPER B4 HIM MAKE AWAY FA DA WHOLE CITY TO GET ON ..DEY GONE LOOSE ALOTTA MONEY

“U KNO U A POWERFUL NIGGA WEN ANYTHING U SAY OR DA AMFR COPY IT ….DAT WAS SOSA DO

“SEEM LIKE A LOTTA HATERz WAS PRAYIN SOSA GOT DROPPED …HE STILL GONE HAVE MO MONEY DEN YALL …PROLLY MORE DEN HE HAD WEN HE WAS INTERSCOPE,” he wrote.

It was only last week when news of Sosa’s release from Interscope was made public.

AllHipHop.com cites the “Now and Later” rapper’s legal woes and drug addiction led to his release.

Chief Keef also revealed in a text message Tuesday that he was no longer a part of the Interscope roster.

“I been dropped for a week now,” he said in his text convo.

Sosa went on to reveal former Interscope chairman and CEO Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre’s exit from the label led to his firing.

Iovine and Dre left Interscope after selling Beats to Apple for $3.2 billion.

“When Jimmy n Dre left that’s when I said f-ck Interscope! Big D-ck style. that’s what I signed up for not this new staff! Of WhiteHonkies!” he wrote.

Sosa is seeing the positive in Interscope’s decision to part ways with him and plans to come back stronger.

“100% of everything goes to me now Jimmy it was cool splitting it with U But u gave yo spot up!

“Laughing because to me I been Dropped. mfs ain’t help Pay no Mf Bills

“Ain’t sh-t gone stop Jus gets Better and bigger!” he wrote.

The South Side Chicago artist announced that “Bang 3” is still dropping on its expected Christmas Dec. 25 date. Furthermore, Sosa will be “quietly” leaking new music from his long-awaited project.

“F-ck that Everything that was Supposed to drop Still dropping 10days left for #BFTD2and Christmas #B3 SituationGang!

“Quietly… I’m Finna Leak some Off B3 I was Tryna hold best for last but,” he wrote.

Sosa announced the release date for “Bang 3” when promoting “Back From The Dead 2” and his November project “Mansion Musick.”

The former Interscope artist posted a cover art for the latter project onto his IG account with a caption, reading, “#BFTD2Halloween #MansionMusickNov28th #B3Christmas.”
