Philly native Ar-Rab is airing out rapper Cassidy for purchasing pairs of non-authentic Nike Air Force Ones.
Ar-Rab, who has appeared on several songs with the “R.A.I.D.” rapper, told Sneaker Watch Cassiy purchased the shoes on Canal street in New York City.
“I guess he thought they were alright, I don’t know,” he said. “I guess he thought he could get away with it. I saw him spend $300 for 10 pair of joints. I watched him and I’m putting them on my feet. Mind you, I’m not from New York, so I don’t even know what’s going on. I’m thinking he a rapper, so that’s what’s up.
“He buying us sneaks. But after awhile, I started catching on like these joints irregular. These joints is hard as sh*t. The feel like skates and sh*t. These hard as plastic. In Philly they really wasn’t wearing Air Forces like, so I put them on. I’m like f*ck it, I’m in New York. I’ma blend in with these guys. After like my second joint, I’m like these joints different. I put two size tens on, they fitting funny.”
Hard to believe Cassidy, who achieved moderate success in the early millennium, was being cheap. No word yet on Cassidy’s response.
