A Chicago man has been charged murder after fatally beating his girlfriend’s 18-month-old baby, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Martin Alvarado Jr., 23, allegedly beat the infant for urinating on him while changing his diapers.

The boy reportedly died of multiple blunt force injuries from child abuse, according to an autopsy report conducted by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Alvarado made incriminating statements and gave a video-taped confession of his actions during interviews with police, according to ABC 7 Chicago.
