A Chicago man was shot and killed Thursday after police say he pointed a gun at them in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood, according to the Chicago Sun Times.
Michael Banks, a 37-year-old bystander, said he witnessed the shooting.
“It just looked like an execution to me,” Banks said, adding that he was about 15 feet away from the shooting. “I don’t see no threat — you’re on your stomach.”
The Independent Police Review Authority was investigating the shooting, CBS 2 Chicago reports.
