Chicago rapper Lil’ JoJo can credit his lyrical ability to his poetry skills. The Bricksquad rapper wrote poetry at an early age.
Lil’ JoJo, born Joseph Coleman, decided to seriously pursue music and quickly made a name for himself following his highly controversial and viral music video “3HunnaK.” The song takes aim at the notorious street gang Black Disciples, namely members and rappers Lil’ Reese and Lil’ Durk.
Lil’ JoJo kept the momentum going with a slew of other popular songs, including “Episode,” “Have It All” and “I Got Dat Sack,” to name a few.
But Lil’ JoJo’s rap career was cut short after he was gunned down Sept. 4 in a drive-by shooting.
Fly Visual Production plans to release a music video featuring the slain Chicago rapper. A snippet of the “Sh*t Is Real” video appears in the beginning of his older brother Swagg’s “Bail In Bail Out” official music video.
The music video will be the latest project since the rapper’s early demise.
