Charlie Sheen was pleased with the new Quentin Tarantino film “Django Unchained.”
“Just saw Django… EPIC!!! You just killed it guys… Game Changer..!! @iamjamiefoxx @Samuelljackson @leoDiCaprio @unchainedmovie MUST SEE!!” he wrote on his Twitter account.
However, not all high-profiled celebs are excited about the film.
Comedian Katt Williams went on stage in a comedy routine to blast the film starring Jamie Foxx and Kerry Washington. Williams told his audience to “Go see the ‘Django Unchained’ and see what you think.”
Williams revealed he was offered the script but turn it down.
“I said any ni**a that do this deserves to die,” he said. “And the next thing I heard ‘Jamie Foxx is in make-up.’
“I went to the set myself and I couldn’t believe it,” he said. “I got a copy of the script. They gave me a copy of the script written in Spielberg’s hands.
“The words ‘F*ck you Ni**er appear 176 times in the script,” he said.
Spike Lee also blasted slavery-era film.
Lee told Vibe Magazine the film is “disrespectful” to his ancestors.
Lee again criticized the film via his Twitter account.
“American Slavery Was Not A Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western. It Was A Holocaust. My Ancestors Are Slaves.Stolen From Africa.I Will Honor Them,” he wrote.
It may not be surprising that Sheen likes the film given that it contains multiple uses of the “N-Word.”
Sheen has been accused of racism in the past. The former “Two And A Half Men” star allegedly called his ex-wife Denise Richards a “n****r” in a voicemail.
Sheen’s ex-wife Denise Richards released audio of Sheen’s voicemail rant:
