Steve and his team from Exclusive773 in South Side Chicago are celebrating the success of their annual turkey drive that took place Sunday, Nov. 23.

Steve revealed he was able to hand out over 1,000 turkeys for the Thanksgiving Day holiday. This is the second year he was able to accomplish this feat.

Lines for the event stretched down the block.



Steve was very appreciative of the support he received from the City’s Hip Hop community.

“I’m just happy to see different artist from different sides all promote the same thing and a good cause,” he said.



Music artist Kwoe was among the entertainers who contributed to the event.

“This is what it’s really about,” he said. “…Gotta do the right thing. Help people out. That’s what life is about- giving.”

Beat guru Young Chop donated 36 turkeys.

Edai, Huncho Hoodo and Seven of Team600 were also present. Edai commented it was “important to give back” to the community.

Other artists in attendance included King100James, DThang, Phatal, JR Donato, Lil Herb and KD Young Cocky, to name a few.

Steve’s event even attracted a pro athlete. Olympic Medalist Aja Evans came through to show support.

“I was happy to be a part of it and happy to work with the community,” she said.

Steve’s accomplishment was no easy task. The positive event received zero attention from some of the City’s bigger media outlets.

Nonetheless, Steve won’t allow the lack of support from the media deter him from continuing his traditional good deed.
