G Herbo and Lil Bibby honored the memory of slain NLMB brother Kobe on what would’ve been his 25th birthday.
Kobe, whose birth name was Jacoby Herron, was murdered Aug. 10, 2013 after he suffered multiple gun wounds in the head and body. He was 21. The shooting happened around 4 a.m. outside a Mcdonalds restaurant in the 2400 block of East 79th Street, according to the Chicago Sun Times.
Herb and Bibby took to their respective IG accounts to pay homage to Kobe.
Bibby wrote, “You gonna piss off a lot of ppl by jus doing you and getting yours #RIPKobe.”
Herb wrote, “Happy birthday big bro!! #KobeSquad #BLIK4L I love and miss you bro!! #AlleysCorners Hallways posted wit my n****s out there all day!!!”
Herb opened up on the murder of his friend during an interview with “Sway In The Morning.” Herb and his NLMB crew were on the block celebrating the birthday of Lil Bibby’s older brother at the time of Kobe’s murder.
“We was together. We was outside — like four in the morning – on the block chilling, shooting dice, all type of stuff,” Herb told Sway. “He just pimped off. He was always the type to not ask someone for sh-t. We got five cars out there. He ain’t ask nobody for a ride. He lived a couple blocks over….just walked off and we heard shots go off. Like a lot of shots. …We get to the scene and I see my homie dead.”
